Confession time - I haven’t been blogging for a reason. Not a good reason - just a reason. Want to know what it is?

Want to know why? Don’t laugh.

I don’t like my blog layout.

That is it… the only reason. I’ve got some time. Some desire, even some fodder for some good (in my opinion of course) blog posts. But every time I come here… I get a feeling of blah. “Blah - I’m sick of looking at this layout.”

I am trying to get over this. Trying to find happiness and comfort in what I’ve got.

That’s hard sometimes, isn’t it? Contentment.

We live in that crazy world where every little aspect of our life could be: Bigger. Smaller. Faster. Slower. Better.

Better? Can it always be better. Should it always be better?

Two very different questions in my opinion.

Can it be better? Probably.

Should it be better? Hmmm - maybe… maybe not.

My prayer life - Could it? YES. Should it? Big time YES.

My eating habits - Could it? Yes. Should it? Yes.

My blog being better and nicer to look at- Could it? Definitely. Should it? Not right now. Soon, hopefully… but not right now.

And for now, I am ok with that.

And just because not liking my layout is a stupid reason for not blogging - I give you cute baby:

Wow - did I fall off the blogging bandwagon or what?

I am blaming it all on Facebook! Seriously, It’s just so easy to jump on and write out a quick note, that I have become lazy.

But, as much as I love facebook, I miss blogging. Blogging had been a nice way to get my thoughts down and ramble a bit… and as we all know, I can ramble!

So, what has been going on?

A part of me wants to say not much… but saying I have been taking it easy and relaxing is so far from my reality! I guess it would be more appropriate to say a whole bunch of everything.

As I had mentioned in my last post, gymnastics meet season started. Kaitie and Mandy have been doing wonderful and making Marc and I so proud! They have improved so much over last year and have placed high at every meet so far this year! I am still truly amazed at the awesome things they can do. Last month we had 3 meet weekends in a row - which took its toll. Most of the meets so far we havent been getting home till 11pm, way too late for this Momma! But, as quickly as it started, it is going to be winding down soon. We have districts next weekend and then (hopefully) South State and States will follow!

Homeschooling has been going well too. Although I have hit the October slump. We were running hard for about 6 weeks and then anemia induced fatigue hit me hard! Although the anemia is now in check, its been difficult to get back in into our routine. We’ve been doing what needs to be done, but it feels more like the minimum - you know? We are missing out on some of the fun stuff.

The pregnancy is going well too! Not sure if I shared, but we are having another boy Jake is one happy big brother! We are still thinking about names, although at this point we have settled on Luke Daniel. Nothing carved in stone, but everyone seems to like it.

The other big news is that we have decided to forgo a hospital birth this time in favor of homebirth. We have hooked up with a wonderful midwife, Cathy, who I am really loving and she is keeping me accountable with my diet and supplements, something I usually weasel my way around. Not this time

I hope to get some pictures up and some more details about our goings on Just hang in there - I have not abandoned my blog!

It looks like I am over the first trimester ickies and trying to get back into the swing of life. Did ya’ll miss me? I missed you, seriously, I did.

I kind of missed blogging too. There were days when I would think of a great post I wanted to write, but then realized that writing said post would involve me climbing the stairs and actually being productive. So, I would think long and hard over it, and I think you can come to your own conclusion as to what I decided.

So, what’s been going on?

The pregnancy seems to be going well. I have my next midwife appointment this Wednesday and I cant wait! We got to hear the babies heartbeat last month and I just can’t wait to hear it again!!! Its one of the best sounds ever!

Kaitie and Mandy are getting older by the day, I can’t believe they will be turing 11 NEXT WEEK!? (Oh crud… I thought I had a few weeks left - reality check!) They are doing great with school and are getting ready for competition season to start up, we are hoping for a great year!

Jake, also getting up there in age, will be turning 6 next month! 6! Can you believe that? My baby boy is becoming my little man. He has made huge growths in his maturity the last 6 months or so and I am super proud of him! He is also doing well with school. He is learning to read and he loves learning about spiders and dinosaurs. Yep, in case there was any doubt still… he is very much a boy.

Emma, is still my pretty princess. She is talking so much and running around like a crazy woman! She has fallen in love with a stuffed monkey and wants to take it everywhere with her and still refuses to drink milk. Well, cows milk. She can’t get enough of that Momma’s stuff, much to Momma’s dismay sometimes.

Hmm, guess thats it for now. I want to say I will post more often and believe me, I will try. But, you know how it is sometimes…

Was I taking a sabbatical? I don’t know… sounds like a good excuse to me.

In reality, I just didn’t feel like blogging. I was busying myself with all that day to day stuff and trying, yet again, to get some sort of organization in my life. In the end, I just got a little tired of trying to blog.

But, after 2 months, I kind of miss it. I miss chatting with my friends. So… I’m back. Maybe. LOL, I’ll try.

I have so much to talk about. All the stuff going on in the kids lives. Lots of pictures. Cool stuff with Marc and I. You know, all that good stuff!

I will try to get back on this afternoon, when school is all finished! I am trying to get back into the working out / eating right frame of mind, so first up will be a long overdue Biggest Loser: Alicia Style.
